Roundtrip Systems Inc.

Last Update: May 4, 2022

Roundtrip Systems Inc. (“Roundtrip”, “we”, or “us”) values and respects your privacy. Roundtrip provides an application, the EasyRoutes application (“App”), that enables companies to create efficient routes when delivering products to customers of Shopify-enabled or other online stores

We have prepared this privacy policy to describe the manner in which we collect, use and disclose personal information processed in the course of providing our services to our customers, when you use our App, visit our website located at https://roundtrip.ai/ (the “Website”), or otherwise interact with us. We maintain additional policies which provide information about how we collect, use, and disclosure personal information through our Supertime and TipGenius apps.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Roundtrip collects and uses personal information primarily on behalf of and in the course of providing services to our customers. In certain limited contexts, we may collect personal information on our own behalf, such as in connection with visits to our Website, job applications, and to send marketing communications.

Information we process on behalf of our customers:

Provision of the App and our Services: When using our App and service, our customers give us access to information in their possession including client information such as name, shipping address, billing address, phone number and signature. When our customers’ employees, independent contractors or agents use our App, we may process certain personal information on behalf of our customers that relates to their delivery drivers, including name, phone number, email, location information and driver behaviour information.

We use this information to assist our customers in delivering goods to their clients. Our customers are responsible for providing all required notices, obtaining all necessary consents and otherwise complying with applicable privacy laws with respect to the collection, transfer and use of the information by us in order to provide our services to them.

Use of the App and our Services: We may monitor use of the App and our services by our customers or other authorized users in order to detect, investigate or prevent any actual or potential violation of our terms and conditions.

Location Information: With consent, we collect drivers’ location information on behalf of our customers by accessing their device’s GPS coordinates so that we can provide location-based services, including the live navigation feature in the App. Drivers can opt-out of location tracking at any time by turning off their location services for the App in the settings of their mobile device. Opting out of location information may not allow the App to function correctly.

Text Notifications: We may send you text message notifications regarding the assignment of delivery routes and other activities relating to your business use of the App.

Push Notifications: With consent, we may display push notifications on an App user’s mobile device. If you wish to stop receiving push notifications from us, you can turn off push notifications for the App in the settings of your mobile device.

We may also generate aggregated, non-identifiable data and use such information to monitor the performance, use and stability of the App and our services and to improve the App and our services.

Information we collect and use through our App, Website and other interactions:

We may collect personal information when you:

  • Use our App
  • Sign up to receive marketing communications
  • Apply for a job at Roundtrip
  • Contact us with a question, comment or complaint

App Usage Information & Analytics: As with many applications, certain limited data is required for the App to function on your device. This data includes the type of device hardware and operating system, unique device identifier, IP address, language settings, and the date and time the App accesses our servers. We use this information to help us understand the activity on the App, to monitor and improve the App, and to tailor your in-App experience. In addition, we may use third party service providers to collect analytical information about your use of the App, such as the App features used and time spent on the App, to help us tailor your in-app experience, improve our products and the quality of our App, and to manage and analyze data in order to better understand our users.

We will use commercially reasonable efforts, given the limitations imposed upon us by third party providers, to clearly disclose what, if any information is collected by the App, how it is used, and with whom it is shared. Please note, certain practices are outside of our control, for example, tracking by Google, Inc., Apple, Inc., or your third-party telecommunications carrier. We are not responsible for the actions of such third parties. You should always read and understand the policies of any third-party provider, such as Google with respect to Android apps and Apple with respect to IOS apps, and your wireless carrier, before making any purchase or downloading any app.

Marketing Communications: If you sign up to receive email marketing communications, we will collect your email address in order to send you newsletters, offers, promotions, and latest updates that may be tailored to your interests and preferences. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of each email. Alternatively, you can opt-out of receiving email marketing communications by contacting us at the contact information provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Please note that you may continue to receive transactional or account-related communications from us.

We may use services provided by third-party platforms (such as social media and other websites) to serve targeted advertisements on such platforms to you or others, and we may provide a hashed version of your email address or other information to the platform provider for such purposes. To opt-out of the use of your information for such purposes, please send a request using any of the methods set forth in the Contact Us section below.

Careers: In connection with a job application or related inquiry, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials). We use this information for the purpose of processing and responding to your application for current and future career opportunities.

Contact Us: When you contact us with a comment, question or complaint through email or by phone, you may be asked for information that identifies you, such as your name, address and a telephone number, along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question or respond to your comment. We may retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service and products.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as set forth below or as required or permitted by law.

Service Providers: Your personal information will be transferred (or otherwise made available) to certain third parties that provide services on our behalf. We use service providers to provide services such as hosting the Website, processing payments, cloud document management, client management software, and providing advertising and marketing services. Our service providers are only provided with the information they need to perform their designated functions and are not authorized to use or disclose personal information for their own marketing or other purposes. Our service providers may be located in the U.S., Canada or other foreign jurisdictions.

Legal and Compliance: We and our Canadian, U.S. and other foreign service providers may provide your personal information in response to a search warrant to other legally valid inquiry or order, or to another organization for the purposes of investigating a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or detecting, suppressing or preventing fraud, or as otherwise may be required or permitted by applicable Canadian, U.S. or other law or legal process, which may include lawful access by U.S. or foreign courts, law enforcement or other government authorities. Your personal information may also be disclosed where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and to investigate or prevent actual or suspected loss or harm to persons or property. Where a disclosure of our customers’ information is required by applicable law, we promptly notify our customer prior to complying with such requirements (to the extent we are not prohibited from doing so) and fully co-operate with our customer’s instructions with respect to our response.

Sale of Business: We may transfer any information we have about you as an asset in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of Roundtrip or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control.
