EasyRoutes Product Updates - January 2025

Since our last monthly update, we've added a number of new EasyRoutes features and enhancements to existing functionality - just in time for all of your Valentine's Day deliveries.

Your all-in-one local delivery app for Shopify

πŸ“ Route Notes

We've added two new features allowing users to communicate key route information and better classify routes using custom criteria. Β First up: route notes.

Use route notes to flag priority routes for drivers, indicate unique delivery instructions for specialized routes, or communicate any other information that applies to specific routes. Route notes can be added from the Routes page or summary view of any Route Group in batches, or added/edited directly when viewing individual routes. Applied notes are accessible from these same pages, as well as within the Delivery Driver mobile app (shown above) for quick driver reference.

For full details on adding, editing, and viewing route notes, see the support article for this new feature.

🏷️ Route Tags

Similarly, our new route tags feature can be used to categorize routes, improve filtering behaviour to find specific types of routes, or to split out detailed Analytics reports using tag filters. Use tags to classify routes by vehicle type, service standard, geographical area, or any other metric useful to your operations - the sky's the limit!

Route tags can be added or removed in bulk from the Routes page, the summary view of any Route Group, or directly from any individual route's page. Applied route tags currently display at the top of any individual route, as well as within the Tags column of the Routes page (shown above) and summary view of any Route Group. Use the new Tagged with filter on the Routes page to filter the routes table by any applied route tags.

Route tags can also be used as convenient reference markers for filtering Analytics reports, allowing users to filter any Analytics breakdown to only display routes tagged with specific criteria:

Full details and sample screenshots of how to add, edit, and view route tags across EasyRoutes can be found in the support article for this new feature.

🏘️ Route Group Improvements

We've made some adjustments to Route Groups, allowing users to perform even more common tasks on multiple routes using bulk actions. From any Route Group's summary view, use the checkboxes to select routes to adjust or update. Β From the menu that appears at the bottom of the page, users can now schedule, dispatch, re-optimize, or edit route options for all of the selected routes in one click, as shown above.

In addition, the panel that previously contained Route Group schedule settings above the map has been replaced with a summary of key group statistics, making it easier to access details for an entire group. Details for the entire Route Group will be displayed first; if any stops are selected on the map view, their details will display separately immediately afterwards:

Schedules for routes contained within a Route Group can now also be individually updated from the summary view of any Route Group. Β Click the dropdown arrow found within the Start time column of any route contained within a group. Select a date/time from the calendar that appears, and click the Save button to update that route's schedule:

Full details on all features highlighted above can be found in the Route Groups, Route Scheduling & ETAs, and Bulk actions support articles.

πŸ“± EasyRoutes Delivery Driver v1.0.62

The EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app for both iOS and Android devices has been updated to version 1.0.62. Β This release features assorted user interface improvements, minor bug fixes, and driver-side support for the new route tags & route notes features.

Drivers will need to update to the latest version of the mobile app (version 1.0.62 or above) in order to access route tags and route notes when completing their routes.
