Happy New Year from the EasyRoutes team! Last month, we focused on making route planning snappier and more responsive than ever before - and snuck in a few new EasyRoutes features to close out 2024 in style. Here are some of the highlights from December.
We've added new functionality when working with Route Groups, allowing users to re-optimize one or more individual route(s) contained within a group, while maintaining the initial optimization of other routes within the same group.
From the All Routes view of any Route Group, use the checkboxes to select the route(s) requiring re-optimization as shown above. ย From the menu that appears at the bottom of the page, select Optimize route(s) to re-optimize the route(s) that have been selected.
We've also added a new type of order filter, allowing users to filter the Orders page by displaying any combination of delivery, pickup, and/or task stop types.
Apply this new filter using the Add filter button on the Orders page, selecting Stop type, and checking the boxes for the type(s) of stop to display as shown above.
EasyRoutes users taking advantage of our order automation rules can now instantly duplicate existing automation rules using the new button highlighted above. ย Make copies of existing rules to quickly set up similar automation workflows using additional attributes, tags, or delivery methods from your EasyRoutes Settings > General tab, within the Advanced automation section.
Two new types of analytics report are now available for completed routes. ย Access the Analytics tab from your EasyRoutes navigation menu to view or export the number of deliveries per hour and/or items delivered per hour over a selected time period.
โ๏ธ New Customization Features
We've added a new way to customize the signature disclosure text displayed to customers before signing for their delivery, pickup, or task stops.
Customize signature disclosure text from your EasyRoutes Settings > Order tracking tab, within the Proof of delivery section shown above. ย Users can independently modify the Deliveries, Pickups, and/or Tasks tabs to customize signature disclosure text for each different stop type.
We've also added a new setting allowing users to generate and print individual packing labels for each item contained within an order, in addition to default behaviour generating one label per stop in a route.
Enable per order item packing labels by updating the Number of labels setting shown above from your EasyRoutes Settings > Packing slips and labels tab, within the Packing label options section.
โก๏ธ App Performance & Navigation Improvements
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide users with a fast, reliable, and easy-to-use route planning platform, we've been tinkering behind the scenes to make EasyRoutes snappier than ever before. ย
Core app functionality - including selecting & adding orders to the map, generating optimized routes, and navigating between routes & route groups - is now more responsive to user input, with page load times reduced throughout the app. ย
Users with high order volumes, many historical routes, or with routes containing a large number of stops will see the most significant improvements in functionality, with app responsiveness up to 2x faster than prior to these updates.
In addition to overall performance improvements across the app, we've made several enhancements to EasyRoutes' in-app navigation:
Users can now navigate between pages within their current EasyRoutes session using the web browser's back and forward buttons.
Individual routes and route groups are now each assigned a dedicated URL, which can be accessed and copied from the web browser's address bar when viewing any route or group.
Dedicated route URLs can now also be bookmarked for quick access like any other webpage, or shared directly with an eligible team member via copy/paste.
๐ฑ EasyRoutes Delivery Driver v1.0.60
The EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app for both iOS and Android devices has been updated to version 1.0.60. ย This release features several user interface improvements for core app functions, improved support for device registration in certain international locales, as well as minor bug fixes.
We recommend that drivers update to the latest version of the mobile app (version 1.0.60) for the most seamless experience when completing delivery routes.
